so this girl at the bar says to me, she says “lets make out”. Twice.   Very direct.  Hardly any work needed.  Right up my alley.

So, why in the bloomin onions did I say no?

That’s because, ladies and gentlemen, I am an enigma.  Even to myself.

Everything in this meal I hunted or gathered. I can’t even begin to tell you how satisfying that feels.

This weekend Nathan and I recorded some stuff in hot, drunken haze under the Indianapolis moon and her lugubrious glow.

Heck, there are some imperfections in this puppy, but hey, what is a diamond without a few flaws?  Okay.  Well, that is a bad example.  The point is this was fun and we are going to do it again.  And next time, prepare thine ears for rapture.  And by rapture, I mean Tallest Man on Earth.

boniverotica:

Bon Iver has been up since earliest light, working on his new song. When I wake, the old oak table is strewn with papers and instruments: a fiddle, a tambourine, and the pennywhistle he always carries in his pocket. He fills the french press for me, wipes sleep from my eye, and muses, ‘Can you think of words that rhyme with hearth?’

In recent games of frisbee, I have challenged myself to run a little harder.  It is leaving me on the brink of death.  Hard to think, but yes.  I take frisbee very seriously.

music and people

Its absolutely amazing what music does to people.  There is a deep connection shared not just between the musician and the audience but between the audience themselves.  Whether it is a ton of people packed into a small coffee shop or congregating in the park alongside the Ohio, so many different people are brought together.  I love it.  Ben Sollee, Parliament, whoever.  Standing there on the waterfront, as the warm night wind jostled my beard hairs, I didn’t have any interests other than dancing with the rest of the crowd and joining the groove nation.  Then again, it may have had something to do with the aromatic assault of thick, thick cannabis riding the summer sky.
